Consider This When Renting Portable Toilets

Obviously, portable toilets have come along way since we were first introduced to them at a festival or park years ago. Today there are high end portable restroom trailers as well as flushable porta potties. No matter the type of event, there is a portable toilet for your needs. However, there are some key factors to consider, when you are renting portable toilets for an outdoor event. In trying to determine the amount of portable toilets you need consider this:

  • the length of the event,
  • the amount of food and drinks served
  • do you need provisions for children, the elderly, or the disabled
For festival type events, the maximum acceptable wait time for a portable toilet is ten people. If alcohol is served, it is recommended that you increase the number of portable toilets by 15%. Also, it is good to have one ADA portable toilet per every two hundred people. ADA compliant toilets are also perfect for events with families as they offer more space.

In determining what type of portable restrooms you need, consider what type of event this is and who are the guests? If this is a wedding or perhaps a high class charity event or benefit, then you need a black tie portable restroom trailer. If this is a festival or sporting event, more traditional portable toilets may be all that you need.
