How many people will be on site?
There needs to be portable restrooms available for anyone who needs to make use of them, without the units getting clogged and avoiding the long lines that can form while employees wait to use the facilities. For construction sites without easy access to water, it is a good idea to inquire about the fresh water flushing mobile office system so that all the necessary sanitary needs are covered without incurring excessive costs.

Will I need insurance?

Combine long work hours, fewer daylight hours, add a snow storm, and you have the ingredients for increased stress and poor judgment in some cases when driving.
Please, remember to drive safely and consider the following when out and about this shopping season.

• Never tailgate a commercial vehicle. You must be able to see both side mirrors of all commercial vehicles, this ensure that the driver can see you.
• In stop and go traffic, commercial vehicles leave space between the vehicles in front of them. This space helps to compensate for the added weight with which these vehicles operate. Compared to the average automobile, large commercial vehicles require a significant amount of distance to stop. Resist the urge to cut in front of these rigs and especially in poor road conditions.
• And lastly, please obey the reduced speed limits in road construction zones. Remember all these road and bridge workers have families who want them home for the holidays.

Once again, the foliage throughout New England offers us a brilliant display of color. Our mornings are becoming crisp as the days get shorter and soon the daily temperatures will drop and the holiday season will arrive. When you are discussing long-term portable toilet rentals for your construction site, keep in mind three key things: location, duration and access.

Location: This seems like common sense, but other than the address, you’ll need to consider where on your site you would like the unit to be located. The location of the portable toilet needs to be convenient while also considering work site safety. If you are constructing a high rise building, a unit with lifting hooks would be worthwhile to move the toilet to the upper floors in order to maximize worker efficiency. And, if you have a mobile office onsite, a unit with more space and a flushing toilet is always an option. If the unit is being delivered, make sure the vendor is insured and that the restrooms are OSHA approved.

Duration: Some questions to think about are how long will you need the portable restroom, how long in advance do you need to reserve it, and what time of day can it be delivered. Additionally, there may be discounts for monthly or quarterly agreements or for multiple unit rentals. If this is a long-term rental, be sure to find out how often the unit will be serviced and what happens if you need service more often. Again, with long-term rentals, ensure that the unit will be delivered with enough tissue and sanitizer.

Access: Of course you need to consider how many people will be on the construction site. Typically the recommendation is one toilet per ten people for a 40-hour workweek. There are local ordinances that detail the requirements for portable toilet rentals for construction sites and inspectors require that the toilet has been ordered and either installed or on the way before they will complete and approve an inspection.
